In my spare time, I throw axes. What do you do?
You might wonder if axe-throwing is a skill that you really need to have in this life. Well, at the very least, knowing how to throw an axe could make you as devastating as Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead. Failing an outbreak of zombies, throwing an axe isn’t a particularly useful life skill, but like opening a beer bottle with your teeth, playing the spoons, or being awesome at darts, it can be pretty damn fun.
Similar to darts, the object of the activity is fairly simple. Throw an axe at a target and count up the points associated with where the axe lands.
Axe-throwing really isn’t about strength. You don’t need to be a lumberjack to get involved. It’s all about getting the axe to fly and spin through the air, releasing the axe from your grip at just the right point so it flies straight ahead, rather than down.
Don’t let this intimidate you! Stratford Axes provides coaches who are there to help you with your technique. Once you are comfortable with throwing that axe then the coaches are there to show you some games to keep the adrenaline flowing! Axe-throwing is a lot of fun and can be addictive so consider yourself warned!

You are welcome to bring in your own food for snacks or even have food delivered
Don’t forget to bring the plates/cutlery/napkins that you will need and since we have a great selection, please no beverages.
